KPERS is partnering with EFL Associates to find two Assistant Investment Officers (AIO), one for Private Markets and the other for Public Markets. KPERS is a very sophisticated institutional investor with assets in excess of $25.3B.

Assistant Investment Officer for Private Markets

The Assistant Investment Officer (AIO) for Private Markets, reports directly to and works closely with the Deputy CIO for Private Markets (DCIOPM) to develop, implement and maintain the System’s Private Markets investment portfolios. The AIO will have direct oversight of the System’s private real assets which currently include real estate, timber and infrastructure. This position is supported by a team of investment analysts with whom this AIO works closely on a day-to-day basis.

Minimum Experience

Five or more years of relevant experience in the field of investments or securities management, a minimum of three years of which shall have included working in an institutional investment setting.

Assistant Investment Officer for Public Markets

The Assistant Investment Officer (AIO) for Public Markets, reports directly to and works closely with the Deputy CIO for Public Markets to develop, implement and maintain the System’s publicly- traded investment portfolios. The AIO will have direct oversight responsibility for the passive Domestic Equity, passive International Equity, passive TIPS and passive GILB portfolios, as well as the active cash equivalents portfolios (STIF and Strategic Cash Reserves).

Minimum Experience

Three years of relevant experience in the field of investments or securities management, a minimum of one year of which shall have included working in an institutional investment setting.
